Wedding Spotlight: Chandler and Nate Johnson

Ball Conference Center recently had the pleasure of hosting Nate and Chandler Johnson’s wedding reception! This summer wedding on July 21st was a night to remember as family and friends celebrated the happy newlyweds!

Nate and Chandler met while attending Bob Jones University in South Carolina. They sang in the same church choir together, and the rest is history. Having known each other for four years and being together for two, they were more than ready to tie the knot! “We chose to have our reception at Ball Conference Center because it was conveniently located, had the ability to accommodate all of our guests, and the price was just right,” said Chandler.

The bridal party arrived, each pair being introduced, followed by dinner, toasts, and mingling. The newlyweds even set up a time capsule table – where each guest got to write a note for Chandler and Nate to open on their very first wedding anniversary.

Chandler and Nate really liked that they were able to come to Ball Conference Center the day before to begin setting all the décor up! “It was so nice being able to start setting up on Friday, it really allowed us to make sure everything was exactly the way we wanted,” said Chandler.

New Kiosks Featured at Ball Conference Center!

There are exciting, new changes that have arrived at Ball Conference Center with the installation of new and cutting edge audiovisual technology! If you haven’t booked an event with Ball Conference Center before, you will want to now!BallKiosk2

These technological advancements can be found throughout Ball Conference Center.  One of which are our two, new standalone Kiosk’s featuring 55” monitors that have been placed within the hallways. These Kiosk’s are similar to those seen at Arrowhead Stadium!

Our Kiosks bring a customized touch to any Ball wedding or corporate event by displaying an endless possibility of photos, itineraries and welcome messages personalized to your liking. This innovative technology greets guests as they enter your event with a professional and elegant demonstration.

Wedding Spotlight: Jhessika and Frank Call

Ball Conference Center recently had the pleasure of hosting Jhessika and Frank Call’s wedding reception! A summer wedding on July 22nd, 2017, followed by a night of great food, drinks, and of course dancing made the evening a night to remember for everyone who attended!

Jhessika happened to work with Frank’s mom, who introduced them. “We met in 2009, our first date was at the mall, and we went to dinner afterward,” said Jhessika. Guests were greeted with a backdrop complete with selfie sticks, a guest book to sign, and a candy buffet. Shades of blue, white and silver filled the ballroom along with tea light centerpieces at each table.

The bridal party arrived, each pair choosing a different song for their introductions and dancing accordingly! Followed by touching speeches from all the bridesmaids and groomsmen. “We chose Ball Conference Center to have our reception because it’s so spacious and I was able to put my own touch on the space for the evening, it really looks beautiful,” said Jhessika. “We used the Premier Package that Ball offers and it helped make the planning so much less stressful.”

Wedding Spotlight: Katy & Neil Talbott

Katy and Neil Talbott said their “I do’s” with a beautiful summer wedding on July 15, 2017 at Ball Conference Center! A celebration complete with plenty of dancing, heartwarming family toasts, and tons of glowing candles that made the night a true dream enjoyed by all.

The couple went on their first date to an Eric Church concert, and knew that it would be happily ever after from then on out! Katy and Neil came full circle on their big day while swaying to an Eric Church song for their first dance. A sweet and romantic nod to their relationship’s beginnings!

Katy’s sister, Andrea, gave a moving toast filled with childhood stories that closed with glasses held high proclaiming, “Here’s to love, laughter and happily ever after!” Dan and Mike Talbott, Neil’s brothers, followed with hilarious stories about the moment they knew that Katy and Neil were a match made in heaven. It was a truly touching display of two families coming together as one.

Katy and Neil’s wedding reception was decorated beautifully with shades of lilac and white – accented with touches of gold and silver. The entire ballroom was softly lit by flickering candles and warmed with the smiles and laughter of close friends and family. It was a beautiful display that is sure to last in the memories of Katy and Neil Talbott for many, happy years to come.

Wedding Spotlight: Kelly & Clay Wardlaw

Kelly and Clay Wardlaw tied the knot with a beautiful summer wedding on June 17, 2017 at Ball Conference Center! A celebration complete with a dance floor, delicious food, and selfie sticks made sure that the night would be enjoyed by all.

The couple met while both attending Pitt State 17 years ago. They were friends for a while and eventually ended up dating from 2005-2009. “We went our separate ways for a while but got back together a year and a half ago and couldn’t be happier,” said Kelly.

When asked about their experience planning their reception at Ball Conference Center, “We really loved that we could come in the day before and set up all of our own decorations,” said Kelly. “Michael was so easy to work with and the location is close to hotels – perfect for both of our families coming in from out of town.”

The newlyweds played “The Shoe Game” followed by some heartfelt speeches from the bride and groom’s closest family and friends including the Maid of Honor, Best Man, and a tearful toast from the Mother of the Bride. Kelly and Clay shared their first dance as a married couple to “Reunited” by Top and Jinky, and a sweet video of how the couple met played for all guests to enjoy.
